JOYCE KENT, Interior Redesigner and Real Estate Stager
Joyce grew up in what she calls a “Constant State of Stage.” Her father was a home builder and HUD inspector while her mother was raising their 6 children and helping get houses sold. It seemed to Joyce that no sooner than they would move and unpack, their home would be on the market, being shown and sold, only to move again! Joyce learned early in life how to present a house so it would show well. By the time she was 17 years old, she had lived in 17 different houses! She remembers one year having to move twice. She credits her mother for keeping sane while moving 6 kids on the average of once a year.
In 2006, Joyce was trained and certified through the One Day Decorating and Staging Academy and soon after became a Charter Associate member of the Society of Decorating Professionals. Since that time, she has helped countless Sellers and Real Estate agents sell their homes quickly using her talent for assessing the home’s needs and addressing those needs wholeheartedly. Her method of Staging goes beyond clearing clutter and taking out the personal items. Joyce makes sure the features of the home are accentuated so that potential Buyers will notice those features, not the furnishings.
Joyce is also available to bring in furniture and accessories to Stage vacant homes as well as provide Staging services for homes that only need partial Staging, such as furniture and accessories for just a few rooms or spaces.
Joyce has been Redesigning since 1999 through her Atlanta area antique business.
Redesign is a method of Decorating for homeowners who are bored with their home and just want a fresh new look without spending a lot of money. Joyce is very budget-conscious (a recycler at heart!) and she loves to work with your favorite furniture and accessories, rearranging them to bring new energy into your rooms. Whether elegant and sophisticated or comfortable and cozy, the new look will be accomplished with the things you love.
